Our Banner
The banner depicts four emblems surrounding the cross of Christ on which sits a Queen Bee, representing the Master of the Lodge. The Beehive is a symbol of industry. Industry in this sense is the power behind employment of a large number of men with one task in mind. The Sheaf of Corn, shown on the Banner from two angles, firstly represents the coin of the realm to our ancient brothers, the fruit of our labours, our sacrifices and what we have done to deserve them, and secondly charity to the less fortunate. The Rose, here shown with five petals to represent the five wounds of Christ on the cross. The red edging representing the blood of Christ, which spilled down onto a white rosebush growing at the foot of the cross. |
The banner hangs in the Lodge room at the Aylesbury Masonic Hall.
